This website has been constructed to facilitate communication among people interested in Sixberry Lake. The area surrounding this 123 acre lake, located in the northeast corner of Jefferson County, NY, is a vacation destination for dozens of people, as well as the home of thousands of fish and birds and millions of mosquitoes, black flies, etc.
The intent of this website is to share our knowledge and resources to benefit all of us. Most contributors are not experts, but instead are interested observers willing to share their ideas, photos, and experiences. Some of us have been coming here for over sixty years, whereas others have just discovered this beautiful place. Some live here year-round, whereas others can never seem to make it up here enough. Some swim and sail, some fish and hunt, some kayak and canoe, some jetski and water ski, some do all of that and more, and some just hang out, read, relax and rewind -- but everyone who comes here seems to love the place!
To be useful, this website will need continuing contributions from its viewers (but that's content, not financial contributions...) With many people using smartphones these days, there should be plenty of photos out there to share. And everybody has stories and memories - maybe even some they'd be willing to share here.
